Residents of Maryland were in for a surprise yesterday when a Philadelphia cheese steak truck caused a major cheesequake on I-95. Eyewitnesses reported seeing the truck swerve erratically before finally tipping over, unleashing its cheesy contents onto the highway.
The resulting cheesequake caused a traffic jam of epic proportions, with cars backed up for miles. Some enterprising drivers even got out of their cars and started to make sandwiches with the spilled cheese.
Meanwhile, in a nearby suburb, a homeowner's backyard has been turned into a shooting range for rabbits. The homeowner, who wishes to remain anonymous, told reporters that he had grown tired of the rabbits eating his garden and decided to take matters into his own hands.
He set up a range in his backyard and has been practicing his shooting skills ever since. "I'm getting pretty good," he said, "I can hit a rabbit from 50 yards away."
Animal rights activists have condemned the homeowner's actions, but he remains unrepentant. "They're just rabbits," he said, "and they're delicious with a side of cheese steak."
As for the cheese steak truck, it has been towed away and the driver charged with reckless driving. But for some lucky commuters, they'll be able to savor the taste of a Philadelphia cheese steak for days to come.
